Have you had a divine encounter with Jesus?
There are so many ways He reveals Himself to us, as intimate and diverse as there are people.
in dreams
in divinely planned connections with another
in the quiet beauty of an alpine meadow
on the beach as waves crash & toss
in a moments of deep prayer
in the early morning hours on the patio
in the pages of His word
I love that He knows us so well that each encounter we have with Him is so deeply intimate, personal, and perfectly timed.

Years ago, I would go out riding my horse down a dirt road or into the hills of harvested wheat, God would often meet with me in those times. They weren’t just times of being with my horse – they were times of being with God too.
Later on when I had small kids, one of the most bizarre places I encountered God was while I was in the shower. I think it was a time and place during the day that was quiet uninterrupted by life. I have had a number of “shower conversations” with Him over the years.
There have been countless other places and times over time. Some have been small things throughout the routine of the day, reminders that relationship with Him is part of daily life. Some encounters have been dramatic and life changing – the kind of thing that I remember for years, even decades, after. Some I can tie to a specific location or event or even a specific song.
I love how personal our God is, meeting each of His children right where we are at!

Yes! I love this! Our encounters with Him can be dramatic and life changing in big ways or small, significant and personal – still big, still life changing but in a soft and quiet way. Thank you for sharing!
